Our mission is to be the best destination for Gloucester’s local and visiting readers and creatives, and to connect people with the books that they will love. We have over 30,000 books in rotation at our Gloucester store and online shops. While our space is very, very limited, we are always in the market for rare and special finds!

Please note, it is not always guaranteed that we can help you transport your books, but we do have a loading parking spot out in front of the store for temporary parking, and we have a hand truck to lend you. If needed, we do make house calls.

Please make an appointment in advance so we have time to look through your collection carefully. In some cases, and if you are somewhat local, we may be able to travel to you.

We are currently able to offer you 100% of the agreed upon price in store credit, or 85% in cash (or check in the amount is over $50). Your store credit can be separated into multiple gift certificates if desired. We have limited space in the store to do any sales on commission, but it is sometimes possible. Please ask!

We accept some donations, depending on the quantity and condition. We provide free and low cost books to our customers and browsers, so your donations are appreciated! And, if we can sell you donated books, know that your kind generosity helps support literacy programming and helps us keep the lights on. Thanks for supporting local business!
