Very scarce film source book for the early Alfred Hitchcock silent adapted by Hitchcock who also served as assistant director to Graham Cutts. The film starred Clive Brook and Alice Joyce. 'A cultivated, sensitive, fastidious man, who has lived all his life amidst seemly and beautiful things returns from the World War a thorough rebel against all he has known. He assumes a disguise and loses himself in a mean district of London's East End, where he meets with some tremendously dramatic, dangerous, swift adventures of passion, hate, fear, crime and revenge.'
